Imogen Wareing
During her consulting career with Urwick International, Price Waterhouse Urwick and in the last ten years of managing her own consultancy firm, Imogen has established an excellent reputation for her integrity and successful solutions. She is a caring career counsellor and a warm and practical workshop facilitator. She has become recognised as a public speaker and spokesperson on career, mentoring and women's issues.
Imogen is a past Executive Manager of Women & Management Inc., a voluntary organisation which aims to assist the personal and professional development of women. She guided Women & Management through a period of growth and the provision of extended networking, educational and development services for members including production of the video "Breakthrough - Beyond the Glass Ceiling".
Special Achievements
Founder of "Making Mentoring Connections" Australia's foremost mentoring network.
Regular conference speaker on mentoring, most recently at the Public Service Merit Protection Commission's "Workplace Diversity - Innovation & Performance"; the Australian Institute of Credit Union Management's Annual Conference and Exposition; and the Australian Association of Career Counsellors International "Politics, Practicalities and Priorities" conferences in February and April 1998.
Researched, analysed and wrote "Guidelines on Mentoring for Women" for the Ministry for the Status and Advancement of Women, (now the Department of Women) NSW . Published in November 1994.
Designed, conducted and analysed "Career Strategies for Women Survey, 1992". Wrote and produced the survey report.
Interviewed on career and organisational issues
Presented at California Career Conference, Sacramento, 1992 on Women's Career Issues. Presented again in November 1993 in San Diego on 'Career Development in Difficult Economic Times'. Presented at National Career Development Association of America in July 1995 on "New Millennium values and methods - Impact on Careers". Co-hosted International career development day at November 1995 California Career Conference. Presented in November 1997 on 'Mentoring in Australian Organisations'.

Managed funding, production and content of Women & Management Inc. video 'Break through - Beyond the Glass Ceiling'. Provided expert assistance at all stages through to editing.
Co-designed and wrote Trainers Guide and Participants' Workbook for the conduct of career workshops for women based on the video.
Founder and Director of The Growth Connection. Developed over ten years of operating a reputation for integrity and excellence while applying the skills and tools she teaches to her own steadily expanding business.
Conducted workshops on mentoring and networking across Australia for the Public Service and Merit Protection Commission.
